To Whom It May Concern:
For the past few years, school-sponsored dances have been limited to Homecoming and Senior Prom. This is, in large part, due to the administration’s concern for the safety and well being of the student body.
However, we, the undersigned students, believe that a Winter Semi-Formal, occurring shortly after midterms, would be a safe and enjoyable reward to the completion of the first half of the school year.
Furthermore, our student government (in conjunction with other amenable students) takes full responsibility for the decorating, fundraising, and identifying of chaperones for the event.
Thank you very much for your time, and please consider our proposal. It would mean a great deal to the student population of this school.
