So.....what are your thoughts on making this thing something valued?
Robbie, P3 and I threw around the idea of a ribbon-cutting ceremony with some famous alumni. I spoke to Jane Musky today, and she said she's more than willing to make some calls for us if we give her names/dates/info. Also, she thinks it'd be awesome if we could secure a better/bigger space for it where community members could actually have access to the files.
Thoughts?

I like the ideas, especially the latter one...we should talk to maplewood or south orange library about available space there, if visability's what we're after. I think we should make our presence, and project, known at the board meeting(s), and i can e-mail Judy Levy about getting some time to speak. Speaking of Mrs. Levy, if we want to be featured in the journalistic masterpiece that is the News-Record, she can probably talk to them about giving us something in the paper. According to Robinson, he'll write us "infinate numbers of passes" (i think that was the wording), so why don't we see about getting together during school to do a real brainstorm.

so far i like what im hearing. ev i think getting in the news record is great for making people aware so let us know how that goes with ms levy. for the ribbon cutting ceremony- maybe we can make it like an alumni appreciation day or something of the sort and engage the town( maplewood village). i would like to keep the hall of fame in columbia and hopefully we can generate space or propose plans for creating space for the files and other neat resources. i can talk to one of the board members on the township committee if we want to try and do something with maplewood village but its just an idea. we should def try to meet as a group though.

definitely....what classes can you/do you want to get out of? Or I'll just track you down ;-D
How much do you think it would run us to have the ribbon-cutting at SOPAC? I know some people on the board over there so I could try to get it. As much as I'd like to have it in the school, it's hard to make a broom closet grand enough for a ribbon-cutting. Also, a black-tie type event could raise us some money to continue the project

wow...thinking really big. the first thing we need to do though is make people care. we need to think about ways we can use this, and why it's worth this kind of investment. caitlin, why don't you get us out of like 7+8+9 or something? then we can go to like the bagel chateau and talk there (you know me, always about food). Don't judge me.
