I think 1337 speak is silly and takes far too much time. I wouldn't bother myself with it. (I've got enough on my plate trying to learn Mandarin Chinese.)

ok- John Adams by McCullough is AMAZING, but you kinda have to be able to spend about 10 hours infront of the thing- it's about 700 pages, but it's like a novel. It gives you a LOT on Adams
FYI- John Adams and Jefferson, friends then enemies then friends, died on the same day, JULY FOURTH!!!!! kinda crazy, dont cha think? ~

Shut Out was a pretty good book, especially if you are a true baseball fan.

Wow, "Plunkitt of Tammany Hall" is amazing. It's this series of speeches by George Washington Plunkitt, who was a leader of the most crooked democratic party in the history of our country. it's really good. It's also only 98 pages.

the social transformation of american medicine is pretty good so far...it's really about how to get and keep power though, not medicine
