did anybody else just notice that our simulation is supposed to take place in 1860, before lincoln was elected president and the war began? i think i'm just going to ignore this and push that date a few years, i could use that civil war/presidency stuff...

Present to the class in the role of your character information about your interactions with lincoln that would help them decide if lincoln suffered from depression or not. For example, I was Abe's best friend and he never seemed satisfied, he fought so hard to win that election but even after he won he said "Aw nuts". It wasn't very inspiring.

mr robinson... do you mind if i pretend its, say, a little before he's assassinated, rather than '60?

yay us, i thought these presentation have been going really well! It was so interesting to see all the different perspecitives on whether lincoln was depressed or not, I mean there is not one clear cut answer and both sides have oodles of evidence for either point. Big thumbs up for this simulation!
