Is it this friday (the 4th) or the 14th? (Two mondays from now)

Okay, so I had to hold up the curtain for James' and Emma's presentation on North Carolina, so I don't have ANY notes on it, but I thought it was really well done. Can someone give me the notes they took for it? I'd really appreciate it.

I don't have much, but here's what I do have:

Walter Raleigh tried to colonize Roanoke. 1586 ran out of food and returned to England.

John White, planned to drop off colonists and return to England. Came back to find everyone gone (You know story)

Virginia Dare-August 1587, first English child born in America.

Blackbeard-Edward Teel (sp?) Pillaged English ships, English navy killed him.

Tuscarora natives lived at peace with colonists for over 150 years. But village was frequently raided, so on September 1711 Chief had enough and attacked settlers. 1712-Colonists hit back and got rid of all the Indians, whether it was death or integration.

North Carolina broke with South Carolina and went to 'work'/have affair with Virginia. NC was tired of SC's treatment of slaves, NC viewed Virginia's tobacco as better than SC's rice, SC's cash crops weren't good enough for NC, Virginia was NC's neighbor to north.

1712-NC split with SC. Unfortunately, that's all I got.
